Graduate Trainee Programme
Digital Butter offers recent university graduates the opportunity to apply to join the agency under our Graduate Trainee Programme. This programme is an entry level position in the agency, where Graduate Trainees learn about support and contribute to all departments of the business: Strategy and Consulting, Project Management, Creative and Design, Technical Development, and Digital Marketing Activation.
As we get to know a Trainee over the course of the two year programme, we'll agree progression plans to target transition into a junior role within one of our core departments, based on the Trainee's interests and aptitude.
Trainees will be deeply immersed in agency projects, primarily across project management, marketing, and research, as outlined below.
Project Execution Support
Trainees will work directly with Butter's project team, supporting all aspects of the project lifecycle, with direct mentor support from senior colleagues and management. Trainees will learn best practices for delivering best-in-class digital products. Key responsibilities will likely include:
- Creating and maintaining project timelines
- Organising project asset folders
- Website content migration
- Supporting project managers in client workshops
Digital Marketing Execution

Ongoing responsibilities are expected to include:

- Social media content strategy execution
- Compiling marketing performance reports
Market Landscape Research
In support of live and prospect client projects, as well as Butter's own marketing initiatives, Trainees will conduct competitive landscape research, working in support of digital strategy, marketing and design colleagues. This research will contribute directly to project initiatives, informing strategic ideation and tactical execution. Research is likely to cover:
Creative and Design & Technical Development (Optional)
While supporting agency wide project work, Trainees will see Digital Butter's experienced designers and technical engineers apply their craft on live projects first hand.
Should Trainees have aspirations for career development and show substantial interest in a specific area (e.g. Digital Design, or Technical Development) there may be an opportunity for mentorship under one of our experts.
